FutureFuel Chemical Company is currently seeking a Chemical Sales Executive to join our team to support growth of our specialty chemical business. The Chemical Sales Executive will have responsibility for growing our business at key multinational customers in addition to developing new opportunities in current Ag chemistry, consumer products, energy, and performance chemical markets.  Our Sales Executives are expected to understand our chemistries and the capabilities of our manufacturing plant.  They work with our development chemists and engineers to secure product opportunities that maximize our manufacturing talents and skills.  FutureFuel specializes in chlorinations, brominations, esterifications,  acylations, alkylations, sulfonations, and reactive distillations.  Our sales executives work from the office in Clayton, MO.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and growing new business at key multinational customers
  • Generating new sales opportunities by securing profitable prospect accounts in target markets
  • Maintaining positive customer relations
  • Developing and implementing annual strategic and key account plans

  • Developing and negotiate commercial agreements

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct field sales or business development experience in chemical product sales

FutureFuel Chemical Company is looking for an experienced Industrial Insulator/Painter to join our Maintenance team. The idea candidate would have general experience with construction techniques and have specific experience with industrial insulation and painting techniques and procedures. This position requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems. Candidates must have the ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. This position requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Candidates must be strong in initiative, self-directed and committed to follow-through.

Key Responsibilities:
 Measures and cutting insulation for covering surfaces using tape measures,
handsaws, knives, and scissors.

 Fits insulation around obstructions and shapes insulating materials and
protective coverings as required.

 Determines the amounts and types of insulation needed and methods of
installation based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment
use.

 Installs sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws in order to protect the
insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.

 Reads blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.

 Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels to help
control noise and maintain temperatures.

 Prepares surfaces for insulation and/or paint applications by brushing or
spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt or by attaching metal pins to
surfaces.

 Selects the appropriate painting and coatings based on application, physical
conditions, and usage needs.

 Applies primer, paint, and sealers to cover surfaces as necessary.

 Works inside and outside in varying degrees of weather and temperature
conditions.

 Cleans up work area and disposes of used/excess materials.

 Follows all safety policies and practices.

 Additional requirements may include constructing scaffolding to meet certified
standards.

 Transitions quickly and with a positive attitude from one assignment to another depending on priority.

Truck Driver/Warehouse Driver Position Available

FutureFuel Chemical Company is looking for part-time and full-time truck drivers for the Legacy Regional Transport team. Candidates must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a minimum of an “N” endorsement, preferably an “X” endorsement. High school diploma or GED, excellent driving record, and flawless background and drug test are also required. This position will work at the FutureFuel site in Batesville, Arkansas.

The Legacy Regional Transport trucking team members may work in a variety of roles. The trucking team handles deliveries of FutureFuel biodiesel throughout the state and into Tennessee and other surrounding states. Up to two trips a day to Memphis or Little Rock are customary or daily support of FutureFuel fuel tanks in Arkansas. Most positions allow for day-only assignments allowing you to be home each night. Pay is by the load, mile, or hourly depending on the task.

Another role is a rotating 12-hour shift position to support Chemical Operations. Responsibilities include moving isotainers and trailers around the plant for loading/unloading, occasional deliveries to an off-site warehouse, managing in-plant dumpsters, assisting with biodiesel loading for customers, assisting with warehouse duties when needed (forklift, lull, etc.), being flexible to move from job to job as priorities change, assisting operations with tasks as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned. The rotating shift position is a 48/36 schedule requiring two weekends on per month and two having two weekends off per month.

FutureFuel Chemical Company is looking for chemical operators to join our Operations team.  Job tasks include, but are not limited to, adding chemicals to processes, keeping production records and ensuring safe, efficient operations of processing equipment.  Chemical operators work a rotating shift schedule and are required to complete an in-house training program consisting of on-the-job training, self-teach courses, as well as classroom training.  

Candidates will need to successfully complete the Arkansas Career Ready Certification (CRC) pre-employment testing administered through the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services.  We require Silver or Gold level certification.  Information regarding testing can be found on Page 2 of our employment application.  Candidates must have basic computer skills, the ability to follow written instructions/procedures, pay attention to detail , and be strong in initiative and self-direction.

Packages product in drums, railcar or bulk bags.

Correctly weighs, labels and palletizes product.

Takes action to ensure mechanical problems are addressed and assists maintenance personnel when needed.
