Chemical Operator
Operates chemical processing equipment and related supporting equipment in the production of intermediate chemicals.

• Adds chemicals to the process
• Keeps accurate production records
• Follows specific operating procedures to ensure safe, efficient operation of processing equipment
such as reaction vessels, vacuum dryers, pumps, centrifuges and distillation columns
• Must successfully complete a self-paced multi-segment training program. Training consists of
on-the-job training, self-teach courses, hands-on laboratory and classroom training courses.

Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Silver level on the Arkansas CRC
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
• Basic computer skills

 

Lab Analyst
Performs a variety of routine analyses to complete skilled analytical laboratory work by using a wide range of analytical instrumentation.

Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of two advanced high school and/or college math courses such as Algebra I and II,         Geometry and Trigonometry
• Completion of high school and/or college chemistry along with another science course such as biology, physical science and physics
• Silver level on the Arkansas CRC
• Basic computer skills

 

Mechanical Maintenance
Performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair activities on mechanical equipment and piping systems. Also installs, alters, and repairs plant machinery, equipment and piping systems. Must successfully complete a self-paced multi-segment apprenticeship training program. Training program consists of on-the-job training, self-teach courses, hands-on laboratory and classroom training courses.

Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Maintenance background
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
• Basic computer skills
• Silver level and 3 on Workplace Observation on the Arkansas CRC

 

Control Systems Mechanic
Performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair activities on electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment. Also installs, alters and repairs plant instrumentation and electrical equipment. Must successfully complete a self-paced multisegment apprenticeship training program. Training program consists of on-the-job training, self-teach courses, hands-on laboratory and classroom training courses.

Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must complete one of the following:
– AS in electronic technology
– Graduate of a registered apprenticeship program
– Four years of industrial, electrical or instrumentation experience
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
• Basic computer skills.
• Gold level, 5 on Applied Technology and 4 on Workplace Observation on Arkansas CRC

 

Material Handler
Performs shipping and receiving activities for manufacturing areas, including drum cleaning, trailer spotting, and transportation services.

Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
• Basic computer skills
• Silver level on Arkansas CRC

 

Utilities Operator
Performs activities in one of the four operating areas in the Utilities Department:

• Waste chemical management facility
• Waste water treatment
• Powerhouse boiler and ash disposal systems
• Fan rooms, air steam and water piping systems, and refrigeration equipment
• Must successfully complete a self-paced multi-segment training program. Training program consists of on-the-job training, selfteach courses, hands-on laboratory and   classroom training courses.

• Silver level on the Arkansas CRC
