We are currently seeking a Chemical Sales Executive to join our team to support growth of our specialty chemical business. The Chemical Sales Executive will have responsibility for growing our business at key multinational customers in addition to developing new opportunities in current Ag chemistry, consumer products, energy and performance chemical markets.

FutureFuel Chemical Company is looking for truck drivers for the Legacy Regional Transport team. Candidates must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a minimum of an “N” endorsement, preferably an “X” endorsement. High school diploma or GED, excellent driving record, and flawless background and drug test are also required. This position will work at the FutureFuel site in Batesville, Arkansas and will be a rotating 12-hour shift position to support Chemical Operations. Responsibilities will include moving isotainers and trailers around the plant for loading/unloading, occasional deliveries to an off-site warehouse, managing in-plant dumpsters, assisting with biodiesel loading for customers, assisting with warehouse duties when needed (forklift, lull, etc.), being flexible to move from job to job as priorities change, assisting operations with tasks as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned. The rotating shift position is a 48/36 schedule requiring two weekends on per month and two having two weekends off per month.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Hooking up and moving trailers around the plant site
  • Escorting biodiesel tankers into the plant and assisting them with filling
  • Moving isotainers into place for filling, transloading, and storage
  • Off-site driving to warehouse facility
  • Loading box trucks with material
  • Assisting in the chemical warehouse when needed including entering data into the SAP inventory system, using a fork lift to move pallets within the warehouse, and delivering material to the Chemical Operating floor
  • Checking labels for accuracy
  • Other driving assignments as required by Legacy Regional Transport including delivering biodiesel and other products
  • Managing in-plant trash and waste dumpsters
  • Transitioning quickly and with a positive attitude from one assignment to another depending on priority

FutureFuel Chemical Company is seeking a Development Lab Technician for our Chemical Technology Department. The Development Lab Technician works under the direction of an Advanced Scientist, typically a PhD Chemist. The Development Lab Technician assists in the development of new organic chemical synthesis manufacturing processes and the improvement of existing manufacturing processes. The Development Lab Technician would also support the resolution of manufacturing issues and product quality issues and provide technical assistance to customers.

They aid in planning and conducting laboratory projects and investigations of a research or development nature. They assemble laboratory equipment, perform experiments, observe and record details of experimental work, and document the results in memos, reports, and other technical methods. They perform minor maintenance on laboratory equipment and design and order the necessary supplies and parts to conduct chemical synthesis experiments. They
interface with outside customers and internal peers. They use a variety of highly technical laboratory equipment to perform research and development type experiments (i.e., automated reactor systems and data acquisition.) They must consider safety and environmental conditions as well as effectiveness and efficiency when designing and conducting experiments. Candidates
must be strong in initiative and self-direction and committed to follow-through. Candidates with a B.S. in Chemistry and previous experience are preferred. Candidates with a B.A. in Chemistry or other related degrees will be considered depending on their course completions and experience.

FutureFuel Chemical Company is looking for chemical operators to join our Operations team.  Job tasks include, but are not limited to, adding chemicals to processes, keeping production records and ensuring safe, efficient operations of processing equipment.  Chemical operators work a rotating shift schedule and are required to complete an in-house training program consisting of on-the-job training, self-teach courses, as well as classroom training.  

Candidates will need to successfully complete the Arkansas Career Ready Certification (CRC) pre-employment testing administered through the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services.  We require Silver or Gold level certification.  Information regarding testing can be found on Page 2 of our employment application.  Candidates must have basic computer skills, the ability to follow written instructions/procedures, pay attention to detail , and be strong in initiative and self-direction.

Packages product in drums, railcar or bulk bags.

Correctly weighs, labels and palletizes product.

Takes action to ensure mechanical problems are addressed and assists maintenance personnel when needed.

Follows all safety policies and practices.
